The Engineering Team

The team of ABB trained and qualified inverter installation engineers are on 24/7 call to keep our customers equipment efficient and running. Many of them have been with IDS or ABB for 16 years and have probably done every type of installation and solved all inverter challenges.

The Sales Team

The team of Tony Ward, Martin Aherne, Andy Crocker and Phil Nightingale cover the whole of the East Midlands down to the Home Counties. They provide a friendly, technically capable interface with IDS’ many customers. They are always on the lookout for new customers that could benefit from our products and services.

Customer Services

Jill Nightingale and Margaret Jones are the backbone of IDS answering calls, generating quotations and booking in, progressing and dispatching orders. In their "spare time" they chase the debtors, control finances and generate monthly management accounts AND GENERALLY RUN THE BUSINESS!

Andrew 'Chalky' White - Service Manager

Andrew’s background is in the repair and testing of electric motors. He now focuses on the service, repair and testing of all types of inverters. He has been working with ABB drives for 15 years and was a founder member of IDS.

Zac Dorn - Director

Zac has been with IDS since 2001. His main focus is on the needs of the UK Water industry and their supply chain. Zac provides excellent technical support and product knowledge especially in low harmonic drives and active filters. As if he hasn’t enough to do, he organises and prioritises the installation and breakdown work. Experienced in the manufacture of control panels and has an HNC in Electrical Engineering.

Blaise Ford - Managing Director

Blaise founded IDS in 1999. He carries out the normal business functions as well as working closely with the Sales Team in developing new inverter markets. He particularly enjoys getting dirty carrying out the site surveys. Formally qualified in both Mechanical (BSc) and Electrical (HNC) Engineering.
