IDS and ABB recommend regular preventive maintenance of its inverter products for which we offer service contracts.
Maintaining the inverters in accordance with the recommended maintenance schedules, ensures maximum availability, minimum repair costs, optimized performance and extended lifetime. IDS tailor their service contracts to suit each customer’s requirements. This usually includes a guaranteed maximum response time for breakdowns.
IDS maintain the drives as per ABB schedule which involves the use of PM kits to replace the few components that need a periodic replacement e.g. cooling fans
Drive service workshops, maintenance and repair service
IDS also carry out in house repairs to all inverters. Repairs tend to be for the larges drives for which we carry a large amount of spares. All repaired drives are load tested overnight. In case of emergency repairs, we can use our hire fleet to keep can use our hire fleet to keep our customer’s plant going whilst we carry out the repair.
