Inverter Drive Systems began as an inverter distributor in 1999 and since then we have enjoyed a special relationship with ABB. ABB is one of the largest engineering firms in the world operating mainly in robotics, power and automation technology areas. ABB recommend regular preventive maintenance for inverters, IDS have formalised this requirement into a cost effective Inverter Service Contract you can find out more about the IDS Service Contract by clicking here.

You can register your inverters with us for breakdown assistance, we simply take your company details, register the inverters you have at which locations (if you have the list) and set other account details so should the worst happen we are able to respond rapidly. Our hire drive range of inverters are transportable and ready cabled for quick and easy shipping to you on site in response to urgent inverter failures. Alternatively, they can be loaded into one of our vans and accompanied by our ABB trained Engineers who will be able to install and commission the drive to get you back up and running avoiding costly downtime. Energy Efficiency Motor Survey. The survey comprises of a site visit, where we will analyse your electric motors with a view to addding an inverter to produce substantial energy and monetary savings. During the survey we give you the energy saving facts and figures, including predicted payback times and total energy and monetary savings applicable to each motor/application. With an ABB Ultra Low Harmonic Drive there is no need for filters, multi-pulse arrangements or special transformers as they have harmonic distortion mitigation built-in.
